well, my first solo recording was in 2006
and even that is being generous,
as i kinda kept it to myself.

by then, adrian had made 18 solo records.
over the course of 24 years.

in the time since, i've realized
in so much of my favorite music:
nine inch nails to david bowie,
talking heads to frank zappa,
adrian's crazy styling is on board.
and in his solo discography,
i found the unifying factor to it all.
directly and indirectly alike, he is
a huge influence on me as a singer,
guitarist, arranger, etc etc etc.

i’ve spent so much time listening to his work,
i almost lost track of my own progress.
this project is both the cure for that
and a celebration of my need for one.
